This year, the S.C. House Legislative Oversight Committee (LOC) selected DHEC and four other state agencies for one of its routine studies. The Committee will research a wide variety of DHEC's processes and operations to help identify areas where the agency is excelling and those where we can continue to improve.

DHEC's first meeting with the Healthcare Subcommittee of LOC is at 3 p.m. on Jan. 24, 2017. At that time, Director Catherine Heigel will offer an overview of the agency, and the public will also have an opportunity to testify about DHEC. The meeting can be watched online here .
