COLUMBIA, S.C. - The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control's Midwifery Advisory Council will meet Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., in room #2407 of the Columbia Mills Building, 301 Gervais St., Columbia, S.C. 29201. 

The Midwifery Advisory Council meets twice a year for the purpose of reviewing and advising the Department regarding matters pertaining to the training, practices, and regulation of midwives in South Carolina.

Meetings are open to the public.

Members and guests should park in the parking garage behind the building and enter in the rear. Please ring the doorbell; someone will be at the desk to let visitors in the building, provide them with a pass and escort them to the conference room.

Directions to DHEC Columbia Mills location

From Greenville/Spartanburg: Take I-26 to Columbia past the intersection with I-20. Stay in one of the left two lanes and take I-126 toward town. Bear right onto the Huger St. exit. Go four stop lights to Gervais St. Turn right onto Gervais, and the museum entrance is a half-block on your right, just before the bridge crossing the river.

From Charlotte: Take I-77 to Columbia. Exit right onto U.S. 277. Follow 277 into town, where it becomes Bull Street. Continue several blocks on Bull Street until you come to Gervais St. (WIS-TV and a service station are on the corner) Turn right onto Gervais and go through eight traffic lights. After the 8th light (Huger St.), the museum entrance is a half-block on your right, just before the bridge crossing the river.

From Charleston: Take I-26 to Columbia. Exit at I-126. After crossing the bridge, take Huger Street exit ramp on the right. Go four traffic lights to Gervais St. Turn right onto Gervais, and the museum entrance is a half-block on your right, just before the bridge crossing the river. 

From Florence: Take I-20 west and exit onto I-26 east to Charleston. Stay in one of the left two lanes and take I-126 toward downtown. Bear right onto the Huger St. exit. Turn right at the fourth light onto Gervais St. and the museum is a half-block ahead on your right. 

From Augusta: Take I-20 to Columbia. Exit onto I-26 East. Stay in one of the left two lanes and take I-126 toward town. Bear right onto the Huger St. exit. Go four stop lights to Gervais St. Turn right onto Gervais, and the museum entrance is a half-block on your right, just before the bridge crossing the river.
