Final Daily Update for Able Contracting Fire
This will serve as the final daily update on the Able Contracting Fire. The home page contains background information as well as applicable state regulations related to this site. The home page will be updated with a summary of this project.
On Monday, January 6, 2020, the last of the material was removed from the site. The total number of trucks was 12,084 and amount of material removed was 115,136 tons.*
The real time DHEC air quality sensors that have been reporting particulate matter (PM) during the fire and response will be removed from the area. The fire has been completely extinguished and all waste material has been removed from the site.
The area-specific weather forecasts have been discontinued.
The 1-800 hotline established for this project will disabled as of Friday, January 10, 2020.
