Report and Submit Dead Birds to Help DHEC Track West Nile Virus
Submit dead birds for testing
Residents can help DHEC by submitting recently deceased birds, crows, blue jays, house finches, and house sparrows. These species are more susceptible to WNV than other species, making them good candidates for testing. For more information, including locating a local DHEC office for submitting deceased birds, visit scdhec.gov/birdtesting.
