TechnoHealth: Using Technology to Communicate Health Education
Conference Overview: Our mission to promote the public's health depends more and more on the ability to use technology and to connect with all users. Communication is at the core of effective public health, but there is less reliance on the use of traditional media. What are the new tools and technologies available to deliver better, faster, and improved health information? How can we learn more about the potential reach, applicability and/or appropriateness of these new technologies? This conference will provide education and insight as we seek to expand our knowledge of public health communications.
Conference Goals
- To present new methods and media for communicating public health messages in a virtual world
- To provide examples of effective communication and social marketing strategies with diverse audiences
- To provide a forum to share insights and best practices on using new and emerging media to support health education messages.
