Formula

WIC provides the following Gerber Good Start® Contract Formulas:

Gerber Good Start®Protect

Gerber Good Start® Gentle

Gerber Good Start® Soy

Gerber Good Start® Soothe

The South Carolina WIC Program is a supplemental nutrition program. It does not provide all of the formula an infant or child may need each month. The South Carolina WIC Program has a contract with Nestlé to provide infant formulas (Good Start Protect, Good Start Gentle, Good Start Soy and Good Start Soothe).

For infants that require a “special” medical formula, documentation is required. The WIC Medical Formula form (DHEC 2074) must be completed:

• To issue a Special Formula or Medical Formula
• Upon a change in the amount or type of formula or supplemental foods issued
