2006-2007 All-Health Team Award Ceremony
Craig Melvin of WIS TV hosted the annual award ceremony. Edward E. Taylor Dance Team and the Double Dutch Forces provided entertainment. Brionna Dickerson, USC Women’s Basketball, gave a presentation.
Girl Scout Troop 1242 of Columbia took the first place gold award and $5,000 from among eight youth-based preventive health projects in the All Health Team’s awards competition.
The second place silver award of $3,000 went to Gadsden Elementary in Gadsden for their Green Thumb project, and Edisto Elementary in Orangeburg took third place bronze award and $2,000 for their innovative Wellness Treasure Trail which promotes physical activity and nutrition.
The two honorable mentions in the amount of $500 was both awarded to Spartanburg Little Theater and the Alternative Academy for Success in Chapin for their projects promoting healthy through the use of drama.
