The Saluda River Basin incorporates 28
watersheds and some 2.1 million acres within the State of South Carolina.
Within the Department's Saluda River Basin are the Saluda
River Basin and the Congaree River Basin.
The Saluda River Basin extends across the Blue Ridge, Piedmont, Sandhills,
and Upper Coastal Plain regions. There are approximately 3,490 stream
miles in the basin.
