The Drinking Water Compliance Monitoring Section of the Bureau of Water is charged with monitoring the levels of potential contaminants in statewide water systems.
Regulations
Drinking Water Compliance Monitoring regulations R.61-58 are promulgated pursuant to S.C. Code Sections 44-55-10 et seq. and are collectively known as the State Primary Drinking Water Regulations. Compliance Monitoring Programs
Compliance monitoring involves the collection of water samples from public drinking water systems to insure compliance with all State and Federal Regulations. This monitoring is based upon the type, size and water source of the public water system.
