The S.C. RCC – modeled after the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Resource Conservation Challenge and customized for South Carolina – can be met in a variety of ways. Those ways include implementing or improving programs on waste reduction, recycling, sustainable development and energy conservation. The challenge begins with the belief that each of us needs to adopt a resource conservation ethic. Each of must operate more efficiently and purchase more wisely. If each of us meets the challenge, South Carolina will have a safer, cleaner environment. Accept the challenge.
