GROUND-LEVEL OZONE FORECAST PUBLIC DISCUSSION

Midlands monitors are showing readings that might peak near the GREEN/YELLOW threshold this Saturday afternoon if convection does not arrive soon enough. Elsewhere, ground level ozone should remain CODE GREEN. A weak cut-off low over the Ohio Valley should continue to sag S'wd into the Deep South into Sunday. Deep layer moisture should continue to flood into the state on SW'ly flow through the boundary layer. With such ample moisture and instability in place, ozone levels should not exceed CODE GREEN criteria anywhere in the state. *quinags
