As of Tuesday afternoon, all forecast regions are trending towards a code green finish except for the Upstate, which is trending towards a code yellow. For Wednesday, the morning will be dominated by clear skies and a gentle breeze from the South. As the day progresses, the wind will shift to be out of the West as a cold front approaches. The afternoon to evening passage of the cold front will bring an increase in cloud cover and aid in pollutant dispersion. There will also be an increase in atmospheric moisture with higher dew point and precipitable water values than seen earlier in the week. Overall conditions look conducive for relatively low levels of surface ozone production. All forecast regions are expected to finish in code GREEN with the exception of Charleston Tri-County that is expected to finish in code YELLOW for Wednesday.
